Paul graduated as a physiotherapist in 2007 from Leeds Metropolitan University. Following a successful university placement Paul started work on a voluntary basis with the Leeds United first team squad and full time scholars. Along side this Paul worked on an evening and weekend with the academy squads (U9-U16). He also gained experience working with Leeds United Ladies (juniors).
After 6 months at LUFC Paul was taken on full-time as HeadAcademy Physiotherapist. Here he worked with players such as Fabien Delph (England and Aston Villa), Danny Rose (England & Tottenham Hotspur), Jonny Howson (England U21 & Norwich City) and Tom Lees (England U21 and Sheffield Wednesday).
In 2008 after 12 months with the academy Paul was promoted to Assistant First Team Physiotherapist. Working with the first team enabled Paul to build professional relationships withsome of the leading consultants, care providers and medical suppliers in the country.
Paul Perkins Physiotherapy was set up in 2013 and Paul stepped down from his role at Leeds United in 2014 to focus on private practice and spend more time with his family.
