Sporting heroes were treated to a Perform experience at the weekend at SportFest 2015, courtesy of Spire Healthcare. Legends such as Will Greenwood, Greg Rusedski, Louise Hazel, Daley Thompson, Sir Matthew Pinsent and Austin Healey all took part in physical challenges in the Perform zone at Wormsley Cricket ground, part of the Getty family estate.
SportFest is a family weekend of sporting activity and Perform were invited to host a zone encompassing sports science testing, performance and rehabilitation. There was a three-way challenge including the Batak, 2k Wattbike ride and 500m rowing challenge, with winners earning themselves a sports science testing package.
Also on offer to those attending the weekend event were Functional Movement Screens (FMS), Alter-G anti-gravity treadmill, Gait analysis, mini health checks and physiotherapy assessments.
“We had over 200 families try out our services and innovative equipment,” said Perform National Director Phil Horton. “It was great to have so many sporting heroes take on the challenge and we needed to treat a few of them after a competitive weekend too! We were glad to come back again this year and had a lot of interest in our sports science and rehabilitation work.”
